It’s well known how long Innovative Concepts has been active on the Internet but did you know that the length of a domain name was limited to 8.3 just like DOS was? As a result, Lonny decided to use the only non alphanumeric character allowed in a domain name to separate the two words of his company name instead of using some of the more obscure ways to abbreviate it.
It took Lonny many years to warm up to the In-Con abbreviation and stop correcting anyone who said it verbally. Eventually, the sales and marketing teams wanted to capitalize on In-Con and make it stand proud as part of the logo and Lonny finally conceded defeat.
Today, Lonny meets people who have never heard of Innovative Concepts but they definitely know In-Con.
